The issue that Allah’s holding people accountable remains unjustified without the Imam
4 Aḥadīth
Muhammad b. Yahya al-‘Attar narrated from Ahmad b. Muhammad b.‘Isa from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al-Hassan b. Mahbub from Dawud al-Riqqi from the Righteous servant [al-Kadhim] 
who said: “Allah’s holding people accountable remains unjustified without the Imam who would teach people about Him.”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الرَّقِّيِّ عَنِ الْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحِ قَالَ إِنَّ الْحُجَّةَ لا تَقُومُ لله عَلَى خَلْقِهِ إِلا بِإِمَامٍ حَتَّى يُعْرَفَ.
Al-Husayn b. Muhammad narrated from Mu‘alla b. Muhammad from al-Hassan b. Ali al-Washa’ who said: “I heard al-Ridha say: ‘Allah’s holding people accountable remains unjustified without the Imam who would teach people about Him.’”
الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله قَالَ إِنَّ الْحُجَّةَ لا تَقُومُ لله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ إِلا بِإِمَامٍ حَتَّى يُعْرَفَ.
Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from ‘Abbad ibn Sulayman from Sa‘d ibn Sa‘d from Muhammad ibn ‘Ammara from abu al-Hassan al-Rida who has said the following. “Allah’s holding people accountable remains unjustified without the Imam who would teach people about Him.”
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا قَالَ إِنَّ الْحُجَّةَ لا تَقُومُ لله عَلَى خَلْقِهِ إِلا بِإِمَامٍ حَتَّى يُعْرَفَ.
Muhammad b. Yahya narrated from Ahmad b. Muhammad from al-Barqi from Khalaf b. Hammad from ’Aban b. Taghlib from Abu Abdillah has said: “A person with Divine authority is before the people, with the people and after the people.”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله الْحُجَّةُ قَبْلَ الْخَلْقِ وَمَعَ الْخَلْقِ وَبَعْدَ الْخَلْقِ.
